Award-winning Journalist Soledad O’Brien to Speak on “Race and Opportunity in America” at the VPAC

Northridge — The University Student Union and Associated Students invite all CSUN students, faculty and staff to see Soledad O’Brien, award-winning journalist and TV news anchor, present her compelling talk on “Race and Opportunity in America”. On Tuesday, March 8 at 5 p.m. live on-stage at the Valley Performing Arts Center, O’Brien’s riveting presentation will cover this critically important topic facing our country and its impact on our shared future.

“Soledad O’Brien is an extremely insightful speaker who leaves her audiences with eye-opening ideas to ponder,” said Audrey Martinez, Events Supervisor, “This will defi-nitely be a thought-provoking talk and a memorable experience for all who attend.”

O’Brien is one of today’s most renowned and respected broadcast journalists. During her career with CNN, NBC News and HBO, she has reported breaking news from around the globe and produced award-winning documentaries. Her knowledge and insight on the topic of “Race and Opportunity in America” will make you think critically, reflect on your own experiences and consider varying perspectives.

This event is completely free for all CSUN students, faculty and staff with a current CSUN ID. Admission tickets are available for pickup at the A.S. ticket office located in the USU.
