All CSUN Students Invited to Express Their Artistry On-Stage at “Expressions” in the University Student Union

WHAT:

The University Student Union (USU) invites all CSUN students to take the stage in the Northridge Center and express themselves during its popular “Expression” event every third Wednesday of the month this semester. Whether it is a poem, song, dance or any other form of expressive art, come take the spotlight and share your artistic ability in front of a welcoming crowd. It’s also fine to just sit back with free snacks and beverages to watch other talented Matadors put on some amazing performances. 

WHO:

Courtney Brubaker, Student Events Assistant, is responsible for putting on this event. 

WHEN:

Wednesday, Feb. 15, Mar. 15 and Apr. 19 at 8 p.m. 

WHERE:

Northridge Center at the USU (Tentative location for Wednesday, Apr. 19) 

WHY:

Provide a safe space for students to showcase their personal artistry and develop a greater appreciation for expressive performance artistry. 

BACKGROUND:

CSUN students can showcase their artistic side at “Expressions”. This special open-mic style event will have a unique theme each month to provide inspira tion for students to express their thoughts, opinions, and emotions. All are wel come to attend this safe space of shared creativity, whether you want to perform or just cheer on your friends. Light snacks will be provided, as well as the chance to win cool prizes.
