Start Your Semester in “Paradise” with the Fun of Matafest at the University Student Union!

August 29, 2018

Northridge—The University Student Union (USU) welcomes all Matadors back to school with its annual Matafest, a fun and informational event about everything the USU offers. On Thursday, Aug. 30 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Plaza del Sol, you’re invited to explore and discover the paradise of resources that the USU offers to every CSUN student. Your Hawaiian-themed Matafest adventure awaits you with delicious food, live entertainment, and chances to win cool prizes – all for FREE!

“This is one of our highly anticipated events that any student – new or returning – can enjoy to the fullest,” said USU Student Events Assistant Leanna Merza. “The USU is here to let students know about all of its available resources and how we can enhance their CSUN experience throughout the school year! Come and say ‘Aloha’!”

Matadors can enjoy tasty Hawaiian food while listening to fresh music mixes from the DJ Complex Lex. Students can also take some goofy pictures at the photo booth, check out the school survival kit station, and try their hand at a fishbowl carnival-style game!

In addition, students in attendance will have the opportunity to win awesome raffle prizes, such as a fall parking permit and gift cards to Amazon, iTunes, Jamba Juice, and Starbucks.

Come check out everything the University Student Union has to offer to all CSUN students – including the Student Recreation Center, Oasis Wellness Center, Computer Lab, Pride Center, Veterans Resource Center, the USU Board of Directors and much more!
