“Student Showcase Auditions” Bring Talented Matadors a Step Closer to the Winner’s Spotlight at the University Student Union

WHAT:

The University Student Union invites all CSUN students with a talent they want to share to take the stage and audition for the 16th Annual “Student Showcase”. This popular annual talent competition is the perfect time to let your passion and performance shine for the chance to win awesome cash prizes. If this sounds like the perfect event for you, the first step is auditioning! Online registration closes Wednesday, Sept. 6 at 5 p.m.

WHO:

Drake Baker, USU Student Events Assistant, is responsible for putting on this event.

WHEN:

Monday, Sept. 18 and Tuesday, Sept. 19 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

WHERE:

Lake View Terrace Room, located in the East Conference Center, across from the main entrance of the Student Recreation Center.

WHY:

Provide CSUN students with a friendly competition to showcase their talents and opportunity to win great prizes.

BACKGROUND:

Each interested student must first participate in the audition process in order to have the chance to perform at the “Student Showcase,” coming up on Wednesday, Nov. 1 at 7 p.m. in the Plaza del Sol Performance Hall. Auditions will be held on two separate days and audition time slots will be filled on a first come first serve basis. Students selected to perform will then be evaluated by three guest judges in the exciting final showcase event. Each performer will have a chance to win cash prizes including $500 for “Best Solo Performance Act” and $500 for “Best Group Performance Act”.
