“Bernie Lean” for “Insanity”

November 5, 2012

What:
The University Student Union presents The Bernie Lean Video Contest. Students are asked to show off their version of the famed “Bernie Lean” dance. NFL Buffalo Bills Running Back Fred Jackson used it as his touchdown dance and MLB Oakland Athletics rocked their team, stadium and fans with the Bernie Lean phenomenon during their race this year for the American League West title.

Who:
Rappers ATM & IMD helped to create the very popular SRC promotional video in which they are seen doing the “Bernie Lean” throughout the facility and engaging students in this fun but unusual dance to their rising music hit “Bernie Lean”.

When:
The contest started Monday Oct. 29 and all videos must be submitted by Friday Nov. 16 at 5 p.m. The winner will be notified on Nov. 19.

Where:
Students can submit and view videos at this link: src.csun.edu/contests/bernielean.

Why:
To provide a fun and creative way for students to showcase their dancing skills and compete for a chance to win the Insanity Workout program.

Background:
All videos must be under one minute, appropriate and creative. After videos are submitted, CSUN students will be allowed to view and choose which videos they enjoy the most. The video with the most votes, wins a copy of the “Insanity” workout program by Shaun T.  All participants will receive a Student Recreation Center (SRC) T-shirt.
