Experience activism through art during Disrupting Racism Through the Lens of Langston Hughes from the University Student Union, in collaboration with the University Library. Langston Hughes was a prominent African American poet whose work transcends the Harlem Renaissance of the 1920s. Presented by the Langston Hughes Project, come witness the powerful presentation on the Harlem Renaissance which will provide social commentary on racism experienced by African diaspora across the globe. We will also have special performances by some of our own CSUN students! If you are a student poet and would like to perform a poem inspired by social justice, submit your poem by Friday, Feb. 18.
