Student Assistant

In a fast-paced environment, Learning Resource Center Student Assistants are our initial contact with the university community. They greet and direct visitors, answer phone calls, schedule appointments, maintain databases, and perform general office work and other duties as assigned. Supplemental Instruction Classes in Math, Chemistry, Economics, Political Science etc.
Applications are accepted on an ongoing basis.
University 60 classes, Supplemental Instruction (SI), are peer-facilitated group study sessions designed to help students master difficult subject matter in classes with historically low pass rates. Supplemental Instruction leaders are responsible for attending class meetings for the selected (‘target’) course, developing engaging and interactive lesson plans for SI sessions, attending and facilitating those SI sessions, and attending strategizing team meetings. SI is a paid position.

Supplemental Instruction in FRESHMAN WRITING
Applications are closed for Fall 2023.
Supplemental Instruction in Writing supports first-time freshman students enrolled in "Approaches to University Writing" in several departments. SI classes (UNIV 61 & 62 ) are peer-facilitated sessions, and are mandatory for students enrolled in 113A and B and some 115 courses.
SI Leaders are sophomores, juniors, seniors, and grad students who have excellent critical reading and analytical writing skills, as well as the ability to mentor students, work cooperatively with faculty, and facilitate class activities and discussions. Computer Technician
Applications are closed for Fall 2023.
In a fast-paced environment, the LRC Computer Technician maintains computers, servers, and backs up systems, databases, and other technological software and equipment. The LRC Computer Technician also helps to create and maintain database for statistics and data entry, troubleshoots computer, network, and software errors, and must be competent in web development.
Knowledge of standard office equipment (printers, copiers, scanners, etc.).
Graphic Designer

We’re looking for a Graphic Designer who thrives in a fast-paced environment and welcomes a dynamic workload – from designing flyers to billboard signs to website pages. Knowledge of standard office equipment (printers, copiers, scanners, etc.) is recommended whereas knowledge of graphic design applications (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Acrobat Reader, etc.) is expected.
