In this workshop, faculty will learn how to connect Teams groups using Canvas to streamline instant messaging and announcements, helping students stay engaged and connected in to the course and class activities. Boost Productivity with Microsoft 365—In and Out of the Classroom

This faculty workshop introducing CSUN's core Microsoft 365 tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneDrive, Outlook, Teams, OneNote, Loop, and Copilot AI) as a unified collaboration ecosystem. The session demonstrates how these tools enable effective collaboration with colleagues and students through file sharing, co-creation, persistent project spaces, and streamlined communication. Classroom Technology: Hands-On Training Session

Learn how to leverage classroom technology tools to enrich the teaching and learning experience—without getting bogged down in the mechanics. By spending less time figuring out how the technology works, you can focus more fully on engaging with your students. This in-person workshop guides participants in effectively using classroom technology through the room touch panel, including changing inputs, controlling cameras and audio, adjusting projection screens, connecting document cameras and laptops, joining Zoom sessions, and Zoom recording management. No-Cost AI Tools to Support Teaching and Creative Work

This session introduces faculty to no-cost generative AI tools that support teaching, research, and creative work. Through practical examples and low-stakes use cases, the talk explores how these tools can enhance course design, instructional materials, feedback, and scholarly productivity—without requiring specialized technical expertise. Faculty will leave with a curated toolkit and clear guidance for experimenting responsibly and effectively within their own teaching practice. Hosted by Megan Duncan Jones.

Improving Accessibility in Canvas: Small Changes, Big Impact

In this workshop, faculty will explore practical, easy-to- implement strategies for improving accessibility in Canvas using built-in tools and best practices. The new tool in Canvas called "Tidyup" will be featured. There will be concrete tips shared to apply immediately to make courses more inclusive, accessible, and student-friendly. Creating, Editing, and Enhancing Lecture Videos with Panopto

Learn how to create engaging, accessible lecture videos using Panopto. In this workshop, faculty will explore how to record, edit, and enhance videos with simple tools such as trimming, adding content, and improving captions. Participants will also learn best practices for making videos easier for students to navigate and revisit. Hosted by Megan Duncan Jones.
