Working with Latinx students and colleagues requires understanding critical moments that influence the sense of self. The Lifespan Model of Latinx Identity Development illustrates a synthesis of research studies to highlight the evolving sense of identity among Latinos. Within this workshop, faculty will learn about dynamics of identity and how to consider them in the classroom.

Dr. Vasti Torres will give a Keynote Address at the Seventh Annual Terry Piper Lecture at 9:00 a.m. - 10:30 a.m.
All faculty are welcome to both the Keynote Address and Faculty Development’s session with Dr. Torres. Faculty are not required to attend the morning event to participate in the Faculty Development session.
