Are you ready to learn more about teaching online courses? Sign up to attend a three-part workshop series geared to get you prepared to plan, create and facilitate an online course at CSUN.
Topics covered include:
- Planning Your Online Course: Learn best practices for building a new online or hybrid course or redesigning a traditional face-to-face course for online or hybrid delivery.
- Creating Content for Online Learners: Discover how to create digital content and online lectures as well as techniques for how to effectively organize and sequence your course content online.
- Facilitating Learning in an Online Environment: Explore techniques and strategies for managing teaching and learning in online environments and best practices for evaluating student work.
Pre-registration is required and space is limited. This workshop series is geared toward faculty who have familiarity with Canvas. For those new to Canvas, we suggest a Canvas Essentials workshop or the Teaching with Canvas self-paced online course before attending this series.
Priority will be given to those who have not previously attended an eLearning Institute. Participants will receive a $100 stipend after attending all three workshops and are eligible for a second $100 stipend for completing post workshop activities that include survey and submission of course materials to be used as examples in future workshops, materials and/or events. There will be two sets of sessions offered in Fall (and additional dates available in Spring):
- Tuesdays from 1:00 - 4:00pm on October 15, 29 and November 5
- Wednesday from 9:30am - 12:00pm on October 16, 30, and November 6
