Equity-Minded Grading Series

Equity-Minded Grading Series

In this three-part workshop series, participants will be introduced to the pillars of equity-minded grading. We will examine the ideas and assumptions of traditional grading and introduce strategies for ensuring that grading is mathematically accurate, bias-resistant, and instills intrinsic motivation in our students.

When is it?

  • Dates: Thursdays, February 22nd, March 7th, and March 28th
  • Time: 1 p.m. to 3 p.m.
  • Location/Format: Online via Zoom
  • Deadline to Register: Applications are no longer being accepted

Who should enroll?

Faculty committed to meeting the CSU’s GI2025 goals will learn evidence based strategies to: 

  • Closing equity gaps
  • Improving climate in your classroom
  • Improving student success

Is there funding?

Participants who attend and engage in all three workshops in the series and complete written reflection activities will receive funding of $200.
