The OCE College Liaison Pilot Program, 2023-2024

Overview:

 In this three-year pilot project, pending budgetary approval, the OCE commits to providing$2,000/year ($1,000/semester) for 1-2 college-nominated liaisons (suggested: 1 TT/1 lecturer) 

 

 Approximately 10-20 hours of work per semester total, with a 1-2 semester commitment

 

Responsibilities:

Community Engagement College Liaisons will 

 partner with OCE staff to serve as mentors for current and prospective faculty interested in community-based research, creative projects, teaching, and/or service
o Work will include: brainstorming projects, troubleshooting, offering advice, referrals, and support along with OCE staff
 Serve as part of the liaison advisory board for OCE activities (meets 1-2 times a semester)
 Provide guidance for working through departmental/college RTP language to include CBL language

 

Qualifications:

 Previous experience teaching a community-engaged course or performing community-engaged research or creative projects
 Interest in working with peers and serving as a mentor
