Below is the schedule for our CSUN Community Engagement Martin Luther King Community Justice Days of Service 2025! These events are made possible through our community partnerships and through generous grants from LEAD California and AmeriCorps. LA Jewish Health's Grancell Campus 7150 Tampa Ave in Reseda.

On Tuesday, February 18, from 2:00PM-3:00PM at LA Jewish Health's Grancell Campus on 7150 Tampa Ave in Reseda, LA Jewish Health and CSUN Crochet Club are co-hosting an event titled "Crafting for Community." The CSUN Crochet Club will teach senior citizens how to crochet, and the beanies that they make will be donated to LA Family Housing. This event will be great fun for a great cause! Saturday, February 1: Thank You, LAFD!

On Saturday, February 1st from 10:00AM-12:00PM at Kindred Spirits Care Farm, the CSUN Office of Community Engagement and Kindred Spirits Care Farm are co-hosting an event titled; "Thank you, LAFD!" This event is in thanks of LAFD for their bravery and unrelenting hard work to help us during the ongoing wildfires. We hope to see you al there for a day of gratitude, rest, and spending time with animals. Food will be provided! Please RSVP at the QR code in the flier for this fantastic event!

Friday, January 31, 2025: FOOD GARDEN Cleanup

On Friday, January 31, 2025, from 10:00AM-1:00PM: LEAD California, in partnership with the CSUN Institute of Sustainability and the CSUN Office of Community Engagement, is hosting a Food Garden Cleanup. The Event will include learning about the life and work of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., learning about sustainability and food justice, as well as a spoken word performance in honor of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. led by Dr. Cedric Hackett and his students. Please register for this event using the link or QR code in the flier below!

Wednesday, January 22: Northridge Academy High School – Assembly on Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., Racial, Social, Climate, and Linguistic Justice

Northridge Academy High School is having an assembly on Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. on Wednesday, January 22nd from 8:30AM-9:20AM which will discuss Racial, Social, Climate, and Linguistic justice – this assembly will be led by Dr. Jade Huell and CSUN Performance Ensemble, linguistics graduate students Maureen Stone and Nathan Nguyen, who will speak to NAHS about speech and linguistic justice.
