How to Pay Your Fees

PAY BY CREDIT CARD

American Express, Discover, MasterCard and Visa accepted. 
The credit card processor charges a 2.65% service fee to the cardholder.

Login to myCSUN on the CSUN website.

           REMINDER:

  • Have your CSUN ID number ready.
  • Have your routing and checking account numbers ready located at the bottom of your personal check.
  • Do not enter your debit card number.

PAY BY 529 SAVINGS PLAN

  • Many 529 Savings Plans can be used to make payments on this website, but not all 529 vendors and/or plans are currently supported.
  • The 529 Savings Plan processor charges a $10.00 service fee.
  • Your 529 vendor may also assess a service fee.

  DIRECTIONS:

  • Pay at University Cash Services Counter, check in through QLess

REMINDER:

  • Have your 529 savings plan account number ready.
  • 529 payments must be received by the deadline to avoid disenrollment.
  • There is a service fee.

PAY BY MAIL

Personal check, cashier's check or money order, DO NOT send cash.

           The University is NOT responsible for delayed or lost mail.

        REMINDERS:

  • Make your check or money order payable to CSUN or California State University, Northridge.
  • CSUN does not accept overpayments to student accounts. Checks written for amounts more than the current balance due on a student account will be returned to sender, putting the student at risk for disenrollment if the correct payment amount is not received by the payment deadline.
  • Write your CSUN ID number on the check.
  • To avoid the consequence of a late payment, mail your payment at least 14 days prior to the due date.
  • A postmark on the day the payment is due is NOT accepted as a timely payment.

PAY IN PERSON

      

DIRECTIONS:
  • Go to Bayramian Hall, Student Services Lobby.
  • University Cash Services Counter.
  • Student payment drop box at the information desk. DO NOT place cash in the drop box.

        REMINDER:

PAY BY INSTALLMENT PAYMENT PLAN (IPP)

Please see below to determine if you are eligible to use an IPP. To obtain more information, contact University Cash Services at (818) 677-8000, Option 1. An IPP must be activated online via myCSUN.

  • Please wait 4 hours after course registration to enroll in the IPP  
  • Only after registering for classes can a student enroll in an IPP

Please do not wait until the due date to apply for IPP!

*If you fail to make your required installment payment in full by the date and times, you may be disenrolled from some or all of your classes. Any payments made after the deadline will not prevent disenrollment.

DISENROLLMENT means that:

  • Your registration in some or all classes, including wait listed classes will be canceled.
  • You can re-enroll and pay according to instructions at the time of enrollment.
  • There is no guarantee that you will be able to re-enroll in the same classes.

Note: The first installment payment, including a $40.00 non-refundable administrative fee and subsequent installment payments can be made via myNorthridge or in person at University Cash Services, located in the lobby of Bayramian Hall. 

Who is eligible for an IPP:

  • Residents of California (undergraduate, graduate, teaching credential and doctorate students) may pay all eligible registration fees through an installment plan.
  • Nonresident and international students may pay all eligible registration-related fees and nonresident tuition through the online installment payment plan.
  • Minors (under 18 years of age) with consent forms may enroll in an IPP. The consent form must be completed in persons with a parent or guardian at University Cash Services, Bayramian Hall. Forms are not available online.

Who is NOT eligible for an IPP:

  • Students who registered only through The Tseng College of Extended Learning.

Fees are subject to change by the Board of Trustees. Any increase in fees will be published as soon as they are approved and will be posted to your account. 

 

IMPORTANT: It is the sole responsibility of the STUDENT to withdraw from classes. Refunds can only be issued to students who withdraw from classes by the published deadlines. Students are responsible for verifying/confirming their withdrawal from classes by printing a copy of their schedule.
