Associated Students (AS) is the primary advocate for students at CSUN. AS provides meaningful programs and services designed to create and enhance a spirited, learning-focused campus environment.
The Career Center is a great on-campus resource for job listings, internships, resume help, mock interviews and workshops. The Career Center helps students discover their interests and skills, set professional goals and turn majors into careers.
Center on Disabilities
The Center on Disabilities nurtures learning and innovation through excellent training and research. The staff is committed to the vision of an inclusive society, where people of all abilities have the chance to achieve their goals and experience success.
Disability Resources and Educational Services
Through student services, training and education, Disability Resources and Educational Services (DRES) fosters an environment of inclusivity for people of all abilities. Such services empower students, nurture independence, promote achievement of realistic career and educational goals, and assist students in discovering, developing and demonstrating their full potential.
Financial Aid & Scholarship Department
The Financial Aid & Scholarship Department is dedicated to assisting students in meeting the cost of attendance at CSUN, whether through grants, loans, scholarships or work-study.
International and Exchange Student Center
The International and Exchange Student Center provides services to newly admitted and continuing international F-1 and J-1 visa students, study abroad and National Student Exchange (NSE) participants, and Fulbright students. In addition, the center offers visa services for CSUN faculty members and coordinate cultural events that allow students to share their national heritage with the campus community.
Klotz Student Health Center
The Klotz Student Health Center offers free and low-cost care for routine or urgent medical matters. The center also has dental and optometry clinics, and offers integrative therapies such as acupuncture, chiropractic and massage. The health center’s aim is to keep students in optimal physical and emotional health, thereby improving their potential for academic success.
National Center on Deafness
Over the past 44 years the National Center on Deafness (NCOD) has served more than 2,500 students who are deaf and hard of hearing. Each year the NCOD provides academic advisement, communication access, direct communication classes, leadership opportunities, scholarships and tutoring for approximately 200 students.
Office of Student Involvement and Development
The Office of Student Involvement and Development promotes understanding and appreciation of the cultures, economics and diversity of the world. Student Development oversees Commencement and Honors Convocation, the Matador Involvement Center and New Student Orientation.
Student Affairs Information Technology
Student Affairs Information Technology (SAIT) manages the Web and technology needs of CSUN’s Division of Student Affairs. They deliver user friendly, student-centric online services.
Student Housing and Conference Services
Student Housing and Conference Services provides convenience, safety, academic assistance and constant support for its on-campus residents. Student Housing is the gateway to the complete Cal State Northridge experience.
Student Outreach and Recruitment
Student Outreach and Recruitment (SOAR) promotes access to higher education by providing outreach, recruitment and informational services primarily to secondary school and community college students. SOAR is home to Campus Tours, Educational Talent Search, Student Marketing & Communications, the Testing Center, Upward Bound, and other community partnerships, such as GEAR UP/Project STEPS.
University Counseling Services
University Counseling Services (UCS) provides resources and information to assist those dealing with small and large psychological obstacles that may be interfering with academic progress or personal relationships. Free services include personal counseling, group counseling, outreach and training.
University Student Union, Inc.
The University Student Union, Inc. (USU) is a student-centered nonprofit that expands the college experience through various programs and involvement opportunities. The USU is committed to student inclusion, diversity and personal growth, and provides food, study areas, computer labs, TV lounges, events and entertainment for the student body.
