Under the guidance of the Office of the Vice President, each department in the Division of Student Affairs offers support services crucial to student success. Read below to find out more, and visit each departmental website to get a closer look.

Associated Students
Associated Students (AS) is the primary advocate for students at CSUN. AS provides meaningful programs and services designed to create and enhance a spirited, learning-focused campus environment.

Career Center
The Career Center is a great on-campus resource for job listings, internships, resume help, mock interviews and workshops. The Career Center helps students discover their interests and skills, set professional goals and turn majors into careers.

Center on Disabilities
The Center on Disabilities nurtures learning and innovation through excellent training and research. The staff is committed to the vision of an inclusive society, where people of all abilities have the chance to achieve their goals and experience success.

Disability Resources and Educational Services
Through student services, training and education, Disability Resources and Educational Services (DRES) fosters an environment of inclusivity for people of all abilities. Such services empower students, nurture independence, promote achievement of realistic career and educational goals, and assist students in discovering, developing and demonstrating their full potential.

Klotz Student Health Center
The Klotz Student Health Center offers free and low-cost care for routine or urgent medical matters. The center also has dental and optometry clinics, and offers integrative therapies such as acupuncture, chiropractic and massage. The health center’s aim is to keep students in optimal physical and emotional health, thereby improving their potential for academic success.

National Center on Deafness
Over the past 44 years the National Center on Deafness (NCOD) has served more than 2,500 students who are deaf and hard of hearing. Each year the NCOD provides academic advisement, communication access, direct communication classes, leadership opportunities, scholarships and tutoring for approximately 200 students.

Student Development and Transitional Programs
Student Development and Transitional Programs promotes understanding and appreciation of the cultures, economics and diversity of the world. Student Development oversees Commencement and Honors Convocation, the Matador Involvement Center and New Student Orientation.

Student Affairs Information Technology
Student Affairs Information Technology (SAIT) manages the Web and technology needs of CSUN’s Division of Student Affairs. They deliver user friendly, student-centric online services.

Student Housing and Conference Services
Student Housing and Conference Services provides convenience, safety, academic assistance and constant support for its on-campus residents. Student Housing is the gateway to the complete Cal State Northridge experience.

University Counseling Services
University Counseling Services (UCS) provides resources and information to assist those dealing with small and large psychological obstacles that may be interfering with academic progress or personal relationships. Free services include personal counseling, group counseling, outreach and training.

University Student Union, Inc.
The University Student Union, Inc. (USU) is a student-centered nonprofit that expands the college experience through various programs and involvement opportunities. The USU is committed to student inclusion, diversity and personal growth, and provides food, study areas, computer labs, TV lounges, events and entertainment for the student body.

Enrollment Services

Office of Admissions
Oversees the admissions and application process for all resident, out-of-state and international undergraduate applicants, and international graduate applicants.

Office of the Registrar
Assists all regularly matriculated students with class enrollment and verification, degree planning tools, records and transcripts, and baccalaureate graduation.

Financial Aid and Scholarship Department
Provides financial assistance and guidance to support student access and success through grants, work-study, loans and scholarships.

Student Outreach and Recruitment Services
Manages prospective undergraduate student relations, assists with admission communications and coordinates pre-enrollment activities.

International and Exchange Student Center
Provides international students with immigration advisement and new student orientation after admission, refers them to academic advisement, and assists with their academic or personal concerns. IESC also assists students wishing to study abroad and in exchange programs within the United States.

Enrollment Services Strategic Communications
Supports the communication needs of the entire Enrollment Services unit with a primary focus on marketing and communications for first-time freshmen and transfer students. Includes client relations management email and forms, chat bots, print and digital brochures, video production, and website design and editing for prospective and current students.

Enrollment Services Systems and Technology
Provides support and coordination for the technology needs and resources of the entire Enrollment Services unit.

Enrollment Services Operations
Provides support and coordination for the human resources and procurement needs of the entire Enrollment Services unit.
