SRC Offers One-Day Trainings to Become Certified in American Red Cross CPR, AED and First Aid

What:
The Student Recreation Center (SRC) at the University Student Union (USU) invites all CSUN students, staff and faculty to a beneficial and affordable opportunity to receive American Red Cross certification in CPR, AED and First Aid in only one day. These trainings will teach participants the skills necessary to become certified to potentially save someone’s life.

Who:
Ryan Hairapetian, SRC Aquatics Coordinator, is responsible for coordinating this event.

When:
Select Saturdays from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. this semester starting Feb. 4 and ending June 17.

Where:
Location will be disclosed upon course registration.

Why:
Help participants recognize and immediately respond appropriately to cardiac, breathing and first aid emergencies.

Background:

 The cost for a one-day course is $50 per person. Participants will learn skills needed to give immediate care to a suddenly injured or ill person until more advanced medical personnel can arrive and take over.
