Get Certified and Learn Life-Saving Skills at “American Red Cross Lifeguard Course” in the Student Recreation Center

WHAT:
The Student Recreation Center (SRC) of the University Student Union invites all CSUN students, faculty and staff to gain the required knowledge and become a certified lifeguard at the “American Red Cross Lifeguard Course”. This six-session program over three weekends will teach you important lifesaving skills in the prevention, recognition and response to aquatic emergencies through hands on training– all for only $130.

Ryan Hairapetian, SRC Aquatics Coordinator, is responsible for this event.

WHEN:
Registration is open now until Saturday, April 6.
From Saturday, April 6 to Sunday, April 21, sessions run from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. every Saturday and Sunday.

WHERE:
Located in the SRC Conference Room

WHY:
Provide the CSUN community with an affordable and convenient opportunity to receive lifeguard training and certification.

BACKGROUND:
Participants must provide their own swimsuit for all six sessions and meet the swimming skills prerequisites. If participants fail to demonstrate the prerequisites, they will receive a full refund.
