Enjoy the Sunshine and Some Friendly Competition at the “SRC Swim Challenge: Team Edition”

WHAT:                                   

The Student Recreation Center at the University Student Union invites all SRC members to get in shape and have fun in the sun with friends at the “SRC Swim Challenge: Team Edition”. Every member is encouraged to grab a friend to work as a team in achieving specified distance milestones together for the chance to win awesome prizes like sunglasses, water bottles, and CSUN Campus Store gift cards. The more you swim, the more you can win!

WHO:                                      

Ryan Hairapetian, Aquatics Coordinator, is responsible for coordinating this event.

WHEN:

Monday, April 3 to Friday, May 5 during regular hours of pool operation.

Registration is open until Wednesday, April 26 

WHERE:                               

The SRC Rec Pool and Plaza Pool

WHY:                                      

Encourage SRC members to stay healthy and fit through swimming and motivate them with a friendly competition.

BACKGROUND:               

All teams can register for the challenge through the SRC Challenges Portal and each receives a free SRC towel upon registration. Participants can swim a maximum distance of 6,000 yards per day (3,000 yards per teammate on teams of two) and must log their daily yards on the SRC Challenges Portal. Participants who make the top five will be eligible to win gift cards and semester-long towel service. The first team to reach 60,000 yards will win the first place prize of a $35 gift card to the Matador Bookstore.
