CSUN-Connected Community: Welcome back to the Student Recreation Center!

The Student Recreation Center (SRC) of the University Student Union is now open to everyone who is eligible to be an SRC member. All CSUN Faculty/Staff, Alumni, Alumni Association members, and Sponsored Adults who wish to access the SRC will need to first purchase a membership before taking advantage of the SRC’s facilities. Memberships are available on a semester basis and are prorated based on the date of purchase. Please visit our Membership Page for details on pricing, and how to purchase your membership. While our current virtual offerings will continue to be available, members now also have access to the SRC’s indoor and outdoor areas like the Training Zones, Plaza Pool, Turf Field and more!

The current facility hours of operation are:

  • SRC Facility
    Monday – Friday
    6 a.m. – 10 p.m.
    Saturday – Sunday
    9 a.m. – 5 p.m.
  • Rock Wall
    Monday – Friday
    6 a.m. – 10 p.m.
    Saturday & Sunday
    9 a.m – 5 p.m.
    Only bouldering is offered at this time. Belay rock climbing has been discontinued until further notice.
  • Turf Field
    Monday – Friday
    3 – 8 p.m.
    Saturday & Sunday
    9 a.m. – 2 p.m.
  • Plaza Pool
    Monday – Friday
    9 – 11:45 a.m. & 3:15 – 6 p.m.
    9 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.
  • Rec Pool
    Monday – Friday
    Noon – 3 p.m.
    Saturday & Sunday

To visit the SRC, members must complete the following steps:

In order to ensure your health and safety, the SRC will also require the following protocols:

  • Maintain a distance of at least six feet from other members while using the facilities.
  • Wear a face covering at all times except when swimming or showering.
  • It is recommended that you bring your own workout towel as Equipment Checkout will not be available at this time.
  • All members will be asked to clean the equipment/machines before and after use. 
  • Please abide by all capacity limits until space is available.
  • Please observe all posted signage.
