“Welcome to Wellness” to Focus on Healthy Lifestyle for Students

What:
The Student Recreation Center (SRC), Klotz Student Health Center and University Counseling Services are inviting students to this fall’s ‘Welcome to Wellness”. Students are encouraged to enjoy free activities, educational workshops, wellness exhibits and information booths on campus health and wellness resources. 

Who:
Amanda Christianson, SRC fitness coordinator, is in charge of planning this event. 

When:
Wednesday, Sept. 17 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. 

Where:
Plaza del Sol, USU 

Why:
Provide students an opportunity to learn about wellness resources and engage in a range of activities to learn how to improve their overall health. 

Background:
In anticipation of the new Wellness Center, scheduled to open in Fall 2015, “Welcome to Wellness” introduces students to topics such as physical, mental and emotional health with a focus on stress and sleep deprivation. Event features include Wellness Center design boards, a free farmers market, massage therapy, meditation refreshers, sleeping stations, an outdoor yoga class and free giveaways.
