Train Like a Pro Boxing Challenge

Learn the ropes of boxing right here at the SRC! 

Come to the SRC and show off your skills during our Train Like a Pro Boxing Challenge! Head over to the Determination Studio to learn the ropes and increase your skills in boxing. The participants who complete the skill challenges in the shortest time possible will win a prize and be hailed as champions! Whether you’re a complete beginner or a heavyweight champion, this challenge is a great way to have fun while getting a full-body workout! 

Challenge Requirements

Any SRC member with an active membership may sign up for this challenge. Any non-SRC member participating must purchase a Guest Pass for each day of attendance at the facility and also be accompanied by a Student Recreation Center (SRC) member at the time of entry. Non-student employees of the SRC may participate, but are not eligible to win any available prizes. 

Activities can be only completed at the SRC during available Boxing Training Program (BTP) hours. To sign up for the Boxing Training Program, please stop by the Total Training Zone desk during listed BTP hours of operation and request a BTP pass. If this is your first time attending a Boxing Training Program, you will need to complete an initial 55-minute orientation conducted by a boxing fitness assistant in the Determination Studio.

The Train Like a Pro Boxing Challenge Includes

  • 100 straight punches on the Heavy Bag 
  • 25 straight punches on the Double End Bag
  • 25 punches on the Speed Bag 
  • 50 dips on the Dip Line
  • 75 Jump Rope
