Dear Principal Investigators and Research Administrators:
Some of you have requested to have our TUC electronic check request link be available to CSUN students. This will enable students to directly submit the reimbursement/check request and attach the appropriate supporting documentation to the request. With the help from IT, the link is now available to the students via their Northridge portal.
Beginning today, students can now initiate, attach supporting documents, and submit TUC reimbursement requests (ex. stipends) from their Northridge portal. The TUC check request link will be available in the their Financial Matters tab under My Financial Obligations pagelet.
I have attached the student submitter’s guide that you can send to your students and provides instructions on how to access the link. Once the student completes a request, the submitter will receive an email confirmation, which then they can send to you as proof of submission. The requests will route automatically to the lead Principal Investigator for approval and approvals are still done via OnBase system.
Please note that for security reasons, the TUC electronic check request is only available to CSUN students, faculty, and staff. Payments to non-CSUN affiliates will still need to be entered by someone with Northridge portal access. Since most of students’ requests that are submitted via check requests are reimbursements or stipends, below are the links to the reimbursement procedures:
