March 11, 2022
Good morning, Principal Investigators and Research Administrators:
We hope your spring semester is coming along well. I have your regular reminder for spring break 2022 additional pay and hiring new employees for your sponsored project(s)!
New hires, including hiring new student employees
If you plan to hire new employees in your sponsored project, please remember to complete the new hire sign in process prior to allowing them to work on your project. Questions regarding personnel and payroll, including hiring process, can be found in the PI Resources & FAQ page.
Federal regulations require all employers to verify that individuals are authorized to work in the United States. The Form I-9 (Employment Eligibility Verification) must be completed for every new employee (including citizens and noncitizen nationals of the United States) before the first day of work. Furthermore, failure to comply with these requirements may result in civil penalties incurred by The University Corporation and CSU Northridge.
Additional Pay – Spring Break 2022 (DUE: March 27, 2022)
Additional pay system for spring break 2022 is open. All spring break 2022 pre-authorization requests must be submitted by March 27, 2022. After this date, you will not be able to enter any new requests for spring break 2022.
