Dear CSUN Principal Investigators
The University Corporation (TUC) is excited to announce another effort in our PRO-PI program supporting Principal Investigators during the execution of their projects. We are working with the Chancellor’s Office and a research administration specialist to review our systems/procedures with an eye toward further elevating our service to PIs. We are now pleased to roll out the first new enhancement to facilitate progress on funded projects.
TUC will implement a new spending mechanism – ‘Advance Projects’ – that will allow PI’s of direct, federally-funded grant awards to initiate research, hire project staff and incur certain project-related expenses for up to ninety (90) days prior to the official project time period. Expenditures initially will be limited to $25,000 and will count against allowable project expenses.
