What is the Bridge Project?
Bridge project is a collaborative grant project between the Early Childhood Special Education (ECSE) program in the Department of Special Education in the Michael D. Eisner College of Education and the Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) program housed within the Department of Psychology in the College of Social and Behavioral Sciences, through the Office of Special Education Programs (U.S. Department of Education). The Bridge scholars will receive interdisciplinary collaborative enriched coursework, specially designed seminars, and supervised fieldwork experiences.
Graduates will be prepared to serve young children with disabilities eligible for Part C or Part B preschool services through the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA).
Funding Process The Bridge Project will accept new ABA scholars who will begin their program in Summer 2020.
• Application deadline for the ABA program is January 14, 2020.
Priority review of potential Bridge scholar applications will begin March, 2020.
Applicants interested in funding through the Bridge Project will complete an additional application to be considered for the Bridge funding. Two years of funding will be provided for scholars as stipends, travel, and technology support. Scholars will likely complete their degree program and the Bridge Project requirements within two years.
