Congratulations to Bernardo Martinez on receiving an award from SRCD for best reflecting research on ethnic and racial issues

Congratulations to Bernardo Martinez (lead presenter) and his co-authors (Karina Barragan, Amanda Thwaits, Nayila Deveaux and Jean Pauline Serrano) on receiving an award at the Society for Research in Child Development’s 2021 Virtual Biennial Meeting for “best reflecting research on ethnic and racial issues”. Their poster presentation that received recognition is titled, “Cultural Mismatch, Physical Distress and Resilience in a Sample of Underrepresented Minority Freshmen”. Faculty mentors on this project are Drs. Yolanda Vasquez-Salgado and Shu-Sha Angie Guan.
