As a part of their DC Internship with the National Center for Transgender Equality, Communications major and Queer Studies minor Michaé Pulido posted an article "Respect Your Trans Elders: Two Justice Warriors Who Paved the Way for Today’s Trans Movement.” You can read Michaé’s post here. The post picked up a lot more views after it was re-tweeted by two-time Emmy-nominated actress and Emmy-winning producer, Laverne Cox, who is also the first openly Transgender person to be nominated for an Emmy in an acting category.
