Student Workshop: How to Write a Literature Review

Welcome to the the Social Science Writing Project. This project is an initiative to teach, encourage, inspire, and support student writing in the social sciences. During the 2014-15 academic year, the College of Social & Behavioral Sciences will host a series of  workshops on topics ranging from sentence construction, to writing a literature review, to proper citation, and many more. Dr. Sawyer will be a source of encouragement for campus and community engagement for our CSUN community. The theme is #Intersectionality.  Intersectionality is the "interaction of multiple identities and varied experiences of exclusion and subordination" (Howard, 2014, p. 38). Student posters range from topics such as values, fashion, fatherhood, corporate America, recidivism, k-12 impact, stereotypes in Hollywood, interracial dating, mass incarceration, masculinity, Hip Hop, etc. as it relates to the Black man or Black boys.
