Fall 2018 Announcement
HIRI Nonprofit Research Fellowships - CSUN College of Social & Behavioral Sciences
The HIRI Nonprofit Research Fellowships provide support for faculty research studies on a wide range of topics about nonprofits and philanthropy. Fellowship funds can be used to buy a faculty recipient out of teaching a course, or to cover research expenses such as travel, among other uses. Twenty Fellowships have been awarded so far. Public lectures by previous winners have been given both on campus and in community settings, to share findings from the research (several Fellowship-sponsorship studies also have been published in books or journal articles).
Applications for the next round of HIRI Fellowships may now be submitted, with a deadline for applications of October 31, 2018. Grants of up to $5,000 (or the current costs of three units of reassigned faculty time) may be awarded by November 15, 2018. Applicants must be members of the faculty of CSUN’s College of Social and Behavioral Sciences. More information about the Fellowships, and about the simple application and review process are presented on the HIRI website.
Send submissions or questions via email to Dr. Thomas Backer.
