September 13, 2021

HIRI Nonprofit Research Fellowships - CSUN College of Social & Behavioral Sciences

SBS Faculty research funding is available! The HIRI Nonprofit Research Fellowships provide support for faculty research studies on a wide range of topics about nonprofits and philanthropy. A total of 29 Fellowship grants have been awarded since 2014.

Applications for the next round of HIRI Fellowships may now be submitted, with a deadline for applications of October15, 2021. Grants of up to $5,000 (either for research expenses or for extra pay - due to changes in CSUN policy, release time can no longer be provided through the HIRI grants) may be awarded by November 1, 2021.

For this competition, preference will be given to proposals for research that examine how the Valley nonprofit sector is responding to the challenges of the coronavirus pandemic, and to the challenges of racism both for nonprofits and the communities they serve.

Applicants must be members of the faculty of CSUN’s College of Social and Behavioral Sciences. Faculty recipients of current HIRI awards that have not yet been completed are ineligible.  For more information about the Fellowships, and about the simple application please visit the HIRI Nonprofit Research Fellowship website.
