Professor Stokes teaches CJS 360 Career Planning in Criminal Justice.

Professor Trev Stokes is a 26 year veteran of the Los Angeles Police Department.  He received his undergraduate degree in Sociology, Criminal Justice and his graduate degree in Public Administration, Leadership and Management, both from California State University, Northridge.  He is a lifetime CSUN Alum and mentor of students interested in careers in the criminal justice system.  Professor Stokes has tremendous passion in the areas of leadership, personal development, and volunteering.  He often lectures in his spare time to at risk youths.  Hoping to educate and inspire tomorrow’s leaders and making a difference in the lives of others.

In his free time, Professor Stokes enjoys cycling, hiking, travel and adventure.  He has hiked to the top of Mt. Kilimanjaro in Africa, trekked the Inca trail to Machu Pichu in Peru, cycled from San Francisco to Los Angeles in the AIDS Ride, and in June of 2018, he will travel to Kathmandu, Nepal to hike to the Mt. Everest Base Camp.
