Professor Renetzky teaches many CJS courses and for the department of Political Science as well. For the Fall 2020 semester, Professor Renetzky teaches CJS 320 Introduction to Criminal Law, and CJS 432 Alcohol, Drugs and Crime.

Professor Renetzky graduated the University of Southern California with a Juris Doctorate degree. After graduating law school he was employed by the Los Angeles County District Attorney's office as a prosecutor. He spent 16 years with this office prosecuting various crimes ranging from misdemeanors through murder. During his time in the office he conducted over 100 jury trials in his varying assignments. He also spent 5 years with the Major Narcotics Division.
He has taught at Los Angeles Valley College, Moorpark Community College, Chapman College, and California State University, Northridge.
He is the owner of the Law Offices of Craig Renetzky, a law firm handling criminal defense and immigration law. 
He also works a hearing examiner for the Los Angeles Police Department and the City of Los Angeles Civil Service Commission.
As a result of his experience he has been interviewed repeatedly by local, national, and international media about criminal law.
