The new policy will be posted on our website, shortly. Below is a summary of key changes: Old: Purchase order required only for purchases over $1,000. New: Purchase order required only for purchases over $5,000 (or if required by vendor). Old: PO and three quotes (telephone quotes are sufficient) required for purchases of $5,000 - $10,000. New: PO and three quotes (telephone quotes are sufficient) required for purchases of $10,000 - $15,000. Old: PO and three written quotes required for purchases of $10,000 - $50,000. New: PO and three written quotes required for purchases of $15,001 - $75,000. Old: Formal bid process required for purchases over $50,000. New: Formal bid process required for purchases over $75,000. Old: Sole source justification/approval needed for PO’s over $5,000. New: Sole source justification/approval needed for PO’s over $10,000.
