COVID-19 Booster Requirement Update | Teamsters
June 14, 2022

Dear Campus Colleagues:

I am pleased to share with you that the CSU has completed the meet and confer process with Teamsters Local 2010 (Unit 6) requiring employees be vaccinated against COVID-19, including receiving a booster vaccination.

Teamsters represented employees who are accessing campus facilities must provide certification of booster no later than Friday, July 15, 2022, or upon eligibility according to CDC guidelines, whichever is later.

Booster certification or a request for a medical or religious exemption may be submitted in the myNorthridge Portal, under the Policies and Procedures pagelet of the Faculty or Staff tab, by selecting the EE Vaccine Self-Certification link and completing the form accordingly.

Additionally, if a Teamsters represented employee tested positive for COVID-19 within 90 days preceding July 15th, they are eligible for a 90-day extension to obtain their booster and submit their self-certification of vaccination status. They must submit proof of a positive test and a written request to Human Resources at before July 15th. The date of the positive test result starts the 90-day extension period.

Teamsters represented employees who are symptomatic will have access to free off-campus testing during compensated time. Employees may access free test kits through the U.S. Postal Service and various Los Angeles County locations - COVID-19: Testing - Health Services Los Angeles County (

On-campus testing is available at no charge to Teamsters represented employees whom the university has identified as a close contact with someone who has tested positive and is asymptomatic. Time spent testing is considered hours worked. Please visit COVID-19 Employee Testing for testing information.

Please visit Employee COVID-19 Vaccination Information for vaccination information, including how to obtain a copy of your vaccination record or how to schedule a vaccination appointment.

Finally, Teamsters employees may refer to the corresponding fully executed Memorandum of Understanding (MOU).
