Flu is Here

January 29, 2018

This year’s flu is severe; 14 deaths in healthy younger adults have been reported in LA County so far in 2018!

To prevent flu, the CDC still recommends getting the Seasonal Influenza Vaccine!  It’s not too late.  The vaccine is a good match to prevent Influenza B, which is more common in the Spring.  And it does provide some protection for Influenza A, or can reduce your symptoms if you do get sick.

If you have Flu-like symptoms, such as fever, chills, muscle aches, sore throat, etc.  please call the Klotz Student Health Center or your doctor.

For more information about preventing and overcoming the flu:

The Klotz Student Health Center still has Flu Shots available, $15 for Students $20 for Staff/Faculty

And CSUN students will receive a “Get A Clue About Flu!” goodie bag with their flu shot!
