The programs and services of the Klotz Student Health Center are a benefit for currently enrolled students. Our pharmacy and outside lab services can accept most insurance plans and most Medi-Cal plans. Any fees that are not billed to insurance or Medi-Cal will be billed to the student's CSUN account.
Please note that the financial responsibility rests with the student for all care beyond the scope of the Klotz Student Health Center. However, students are strongly encouraged to have a health insurance policy to cover major medical expenses.
Covered California is California's online marketplace where students can compare and choose health insurance plans as required by the Federal Affordable Care Act. Students can also learn if they qualify for Medi-Cal, California's Medicaid health insurance program.
In addition to providing a breadth of free health care and education services, the Klotz Student Health Center participates in the Family PACT program that can help eligible students receive free or low-cost sexual and reproductive health services.
Currently enrolled students are welcome to visit the Klotz Student Health Center for a free consultation with a doctor, nurse or clinical health educator to explore their health and wellness needs and options. (If you are enrolled in a managed care (HMO) Medi-Cal plan, you may be referred to your assigned primary care provider for certain services.)
