The Donald E. Bianchi Outstanding Undergraduate Student Award is presented in recognition of academic excellence, honoring Donald E. Bianchi, the founding Dean of the College of Science and Mathematics and former professor of biology.

Dr. Jerry Stinner, Dean of College of Science and Math, Presents the Award

The Leslie and Terry Cutler Scholarship recognizes students showing promise in science and mathematics, demonstrated by academic achievement; this scholarship honors Leslie Cutler, an alumnus from the 1960s, who had a distinguished career in dentistry and health administration.

The Outstanding Beginning Student Award recognizes students with outstanding performance in lower division courses in mathematics.

Dr. Alekseenko Presents the Award	Dr. Neubauer Presents the Award

The Peter Thommen Scholarship supports an undergraduate student majoring in mathematics with excellent performance, founded by Peter Thommen, an alumnus from the 1970s, who enjoys a successful career in software engineering.

Dr. Stevenson Presents the Scholarship

The F. Lynwood Wren Scholarship is awarded to an outstanding mathematics major who has a passion for teaching, following the example set by Professor Lynwood Wren, who joined the Math Department after retiring, and continued teaching for another 17 years.

Dr. Vakilian Presents the Award

The Abel Scholarship is awarded to a sophomore or junior mathematics major based on academic merit, honoring Niels Henrik Abel, a Norwegian mathematician of the early 19^th century.

Dr. Evans Presents the Award

The Ramanujan Research Scholarship supports undergraduate research projects for students who show significant mathematical promise; this scholarship honors Srinivasa Ramanujan, a self-taught mathematician from India, whose discoveries continue to influence number theory, complex analysis, and combinatorics.

The Outstanding Mathematics Major Award recognizes continuing students for outstanding achievements in mathematics.

The Outstanding Graduating Senior Award recognizes graduating seniors for outstanding achievements in mathematics.

Dr. Zambom Presents the Award

The Outstanding Student in Extended Learning Award recognizes a student in the Tseng College for academic accomplishments in preparation for graduate studies in mathematics.

Dr. Panferov Presents the Award

The Outstanding Teaching Associate Award recognizes graduate student teaching associates who demonstrate exceptional dedication and effectiveness.

The Efrem Ostrow Memorial Scholarship supports distinguished scholars who show promise in the field of mathematics; it honors the memory of Professor Efrem Ostrow who was teaching mathematics at CSUN for 25 years up to his retirement in 1989.
