Algebra, Number Theory, and Discrete Math Seminar

Algebra, Number Theory, and Discrete Math Seminar

Wednesday, November 30, 2:30-3:30pm in Bookstein Hall (BB) 1238.

The speaker is Duno Rossegger, who is a Marie Curie fellow at the Department of Mathematics at UC Berkeley.  Dr. Rossegger will give a talk entitled

The Structural Complexity of Models of Arithmetic

We are used to the natural numbers and their arithmetic, but we can imagine many other possible ways that the arithmetic might work.  This talks explores the other possibilities.

For more details, the abstract of the talk can be viewed on the seminar web page:

If you want to attend via Zoom, please email Dr. Katz.
