CSUN Geology & Env. Justice Class Contributes to Art Show in Watts, CA

Dr. Elena Miranda and her Fall 2021 Geology and Environmental Justice class (GEOL 496ECS) contributed to an art show and gallery opening sponsored by the Better Watts Initiative (BWI), whom Dr. Miranda works with as part of her environmental justice work. The show is titled "Sick of It: Pollution in Watts" and is inspired by pollution in Watts and its impact on human health in the community; the themes are air, soil, and water. The piece Dr. Miranda's class worked on was a 3-D presentation of methane pollution beneath Ujima Village in Watts, CA.
