- Some masters and doctoral degree programs accept applications only for fall — not spring — admission.

- Each master's and doctoral program has its own application deadline. For individual deadlines, contact the program of interest directly, or use the Cal State Apply Application Dates & Deadlines search tool.
- Two (2) applications are often required — one to the university and another to the individual graduate program. Please read Graduate Admissions and contact the program of interest.

Returning undergraduate students who were previously disqualified
- If disqualified prior to fall 2022, apply for fall 2023 admission no later than Nov. 30, 2022, now extended to Jan. 31, 2023.
- If disqualified at the end of fall 2022, apply for fall 2023 by April 1, 2023. An invitation code is required after Jan. 31, 2023.
- NEW! Applications will be considered for spring admission if received by Aug. 31.

Second or Additional Bachelor’s Degree
Please note:
Due to CSUN’s impaction status, we cannot accept applications for second or additional bachelor’s degrees. If you've already earned a bachelor’s degree or higher, we encourage you to apply to a CSUN graduate program instead.
