February 3, 2016

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Northridge — The Pride Center in the University Student Union (USU) and University Counseling Services is reaching out to all CSUN students who identify as transgender, genderqueer, nonbinary or gender questioning to attend “T-Time”, a welcoming place to meet with others who identify within the community for conversation and support. The first “T-Time” of the spring semester is scheduled for Monday, February 15 from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. in the Santa Susana Room, located on the third floor of the Sol Center at the USU. Regular weekly meetings will then continue every Monday until April 11.

“T-Time is a welcoming space for trans* and gender questioning students to come together to discuss topics of gender identity,” said Sarina Loeb, Pride Center Coordinator, “This is a really great opportunity for trans* students and students questioning their gender identity to come together, support each other, and share their struggles and successes.”

“T-Time” provides a supportive and welcoming space for trans* students and students who feel they fit outside of the gender binary. Every meeting focuses on discussions of topics relevant to the trans* community. Allies are welcome to attend only if they are accompanying a trans* student for support.
