LGBTQ Students Invited to Connect with CSUN Campus at the Pride Center’s “Rainbow Reception”

August 10, 2016

Northridge — The Pride Center at the University Student Union (USU) invites all CSUN students, faculty and staff to take part in the 4th annual “Rainbow Reception” on Tuesday, Sept. 6 from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Northridge Center, located in the USU. This welcoming event is dedicated to enhancing the connection between the LGBTQ community and others across the CSUN campus. It’s an opportunity to network with the lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, asexual and allied students, faculty and staff in a safe, inclusive environment.

“Rainbow Reception helps connect students with LGBTQ-friendly faculty and staff as well as cultivates friendships among CSUN’s LGBTQ community who might not cross paths otherwise,” said Sarina Loeb, Pride Center Coordinator. “Students always leave the event feeling more connected to campus with a better sense of the CSUN community.”

Rainbow Reception welcomes new, returning and transfer students who may have not yet had the opportunity to meet more people who are part of the LGBTQ community.  Attendees will participate in fun icebreakers and enjoy the light snacks and refreshments provided by the Pride Center.

Start off the new semester the right way by making lasting connections at “Rainbow Reception.” For more information about “Rainbow Reception” and the Pride Center, please contact pride Center Coordinator, Sarina Loeb at or visit the Pride Center website at www.csun.edu/pride
