Connect Skills and Pride With Career Aspirations at “Queer In Your Career”

WHAT: The Pride Center of the University Student Union (USU) invites LGBTQIA+ CSUN students to enhance their current and future career opportunities while embracing their pride at Queer In Your Career. Throughout the Spring semester, students will have an insightful look into all the exciting positions available in a range of different industries by hearing from working professionals. Students can turn their career aspirations and dreams into reality with these informative career events! 

WHO: Whitney Workman, Acting Pride Center Coordinator, is responsible for coordinating this event. 

WHEN: Select Tuesdays — Feb. 8 (College of Humanities), March 8 (College of Education), April 5 (College of Business), May 3 (TBD), 6 – 7:30 p.m. 

WHERE: Feb. 8’s installment will be exclusively held via Zoom (ID: 861 424 6107, Passcode: pride). The rest will be held in a hybrid format, where folks have the option to attend via Zoom or at the Sol Center Executive Conference Room (Sol Center, 3rd Floor). 

WHY: LGBTQIA+ CSUN students will learn how their skills and being an openly queer individual can shine through in a variety of fields, while networking with working professionals currently working in their desired position. 

BACKGROUND: The Pride Center encourages LGBTQIA+ CSUN students to engage in these interesting and informative career sessions during Queer In Your Career. Students must register on the Pride Center website before each session. For more information on each event, please visit csun.edu/pride.
