Northridge — The Pride Center of the University Student Union (USU) invites all incoming LGBTQIA+ CSUN students to Generation Pride, a spectacular three-day welcome celebration from Tuesday, Aug. 31 to Thursday Sept. 2. Start off your CSUN journey with a fun event that celebrates you!
“We are excited to welcome LGBTQIA+ students to the CSUN campus and share the resources and fun times the Pride Center offers” said Whitney Workman Supervisor, Pride Center. “We want to let you know that we are a welcoming space filled with support and guidance for students.”
Join us for an insightful and exciting series of events to help you transition to campus more smoothly and enjoy a great opportunity to socialize with your new peers. On Tuesday, Aug. 31, come to our special informational welcoming event, where you will learn more about the Pride Center and its wide range of services and programs. Then, on Wednesday, Sept. 1, prepare for some fun competition with an exciting Scavenger Hunt, in which you can participate either in-person on campus or via Zoom. To end the celebration on a grand note, be sure to attend our weekly GAYme Night where you will get to play exciting party games like Jackbox, Among Us and many more.
Participants who choose to join the Scavenger Hunt virtually will check in via Zoom at 12pm on Sept. 1. Those participating in-person will check in at the Plaza del Sol of the University Student Union at 12pm. The Scavenger Hunt both virtually and in-person will begin at 12:30 p.m. and end at 2 p.m. Virtual winners will receive a $75 giftcard of their choice while in-person winners will receive a Power XL Vortex Air Fryer.
