September 12, 2018

Northridge—The Pride Center of the University Student Union (USU) invites all LGBTQ+ and allied students, faculty and staff to attend “Beyond the Binary”, a special event that recognizes and honors the fluidity of sexuality. On Monday, Sept. 24 from 4:30 to 6:45 p.m., join the celebration in the Pasadena Room located on the second floor of the East Conference Center in the USU, directly across from the Student Recreation Center main entrance. Don’t miss the dynamic keynote speaker, psychotherapist and clinical psychology doctoral student, Jami Kerr. Admission is FREE.

“’Beyond the Binary’ is one of our most compelling events each year for everyone in the LGBTQ+ community”, said Sarina Loeb, Pride Center Manager, “This year, Jami Kerr’s message on social justice is going to make it even more special.”

Jami Kerr is dedicated to educating service providers and community members about LGBTQIA+ issues, particularly the unique experiences and challenges of bisexual individuals. An advocate for social justice, Kerr is working toward ending the stigma and discrimination of bisexuality through education, advocacy, and visibility.

In addition to seeing Kerr speak, attendees will be able to hear a panel of empowering individuals share their own experiences. Light refreshments and snacks will be served at the event.
