Statement from CSUN President Dianne F. Harrison on Sutherland Springs, Texas Shooting

The following message was posted on the CSUN website on November 7, 2017. 

On behalf of the California State University, Northridge community, our thoughts, hearts and condolences go to the victims, survivors, families, loved ones and others affected by the shooting that took place in Sutherland Springs, Texas this past Sunday. Tragedies like this have become heartbreakingly common and are a reminder of the need to remain vigilant and to treasure our loved ones.

In accordance with a proclamation issued by the White House, I have directed that U.S. flags on campus fly at half staff until sunset, Nov. 9, in memory of the victims of this senseless tragedy.
