President's Office

Message on San Bernardino Tragedy

The following message was posted on the front page of the university website on Dec. 3, 2015:

Message from CSUN President Dianne F. Harrison

Our hearts and thoughts are with the victims, their families, the first responders and the survivors of Wednesday's attack at the Inland Regional Center in San Bernardino, as well as those served by this essential social service agency. Regional centers in California provide vital services to people with developmental disabilities and their families.

Tragedies like this are heartbreakingly too frequent and a reminder to remain vigilant and to treasure our loved ones.

In accordance with a presidential proclamation issued by the White House, I have directed that U.S. flags on campus fly at half staff until sunset, December 7, in honor of the victims of the tragedy.
