Chancellor's retirement

May 24, 2012

To the campus community:

Earlier today, Chancellor Reed sent a message to the campus community about his plans to retire as chancellor of the California State University. He has advised the Board of Trustees that he will serve until the Board appoints his successor.

He has been a strong proponent of quality and affordable higher education. This is particularly noteworthy given these tumultuous times. We wish him the best and thank him for his leadership and service to the CSU and its mission.

Harry Hellenbrand
Interim President
