Campus Holiday Closure on Monday, December 24, 2018

Dear Colleagues:

Given the challenges of the past few days, I want to share some good news with you that I hope will help you as you plan for the upcoming winter break. Governor Brown has authorized four (4) hours of informal time off for full-time employees on the last campus working day before the start of the winter break. In that spirit, I am likewise granting an additional half-day of administrative informal time off so that the campus can close the entire day on Monday, December 24, 2018, and begin the holiday break early. The Department of Police Services will remain staffed during the closure and can be reached at 818-677-2111.

Human Resources will shortly provide a notice to managers with information for time reporting.

The early closure is a well-deserved recognition of the contributions and hard work all of you demonstrate throughout the year in support of the university and our students. Best wishes to all of you for a safe and restful holiday season and new year.
