Appointment of Interim Vice President for Information Technology and CIO

I am pleased to announce that, following a search, Ranjit (Ron) A. Philip has been appointed Interim Vice President for Information Technology and Chief Information Officer (CIO), effective January 13.
 
Ron has served as Associate Vice President for Information Technology since May 2019, a role he initially assumed as an interim in August 2018. He has worked at CSUN since 1999 in several successive roles, including Senior Director for Infrastructure Services and Lead Systems Analyst. His extensive experience at CSUN will greatly benefit the university and ensure a continuity of leadership during this time of transition as we embark on a search for a regular appointment to the position.
 
My thanks to the search committee for their efforts. The members included Provost Mary Beth Walker, Faculty President Mary-Pat Stein, Assistant Professor of Computer Science Li Liu, and Associate Vice President for Financial Services Deborah Wallace.
